MEET THE SPEAKERS
 
Katherine Willson
 
Katherine is a genealogy lecturer, educator and author who has spoken at local, regional and national conferences. In addition to researching for private clients, she is  the founder and President of the Virtual Genealogical Society, President of the Michigan Genealogical Council, member of the Board of Directors for the Association of Professional Genealogists, Secretary for the Genealogical Speaker’s Guild, Social Media Manager for the Genealogical Research Institute of Pittsburgh (GRIP), and a member of the National Genealogical Society.
 
 
Jovanka Ristic
 
Jovanka Ristić, Senior Academic Librarian, is the Reference Librarian at the AGS Library. A native of Milwaukee, she has degrees in biology and library science, all from UWM. With over 35 years of experience at the AGS Library, she has a thorough knowledge of its resources, and has made numerous presentations to genealogical and other groups throughout Wisconsin and northern Illinois, as well as at national conferences.
 
 
Suzette Lopez
 
Suzette J. Lopez has been the caretaker of the Great Lakes Marine Collection located in Milwaukee's Central Library and the Executive Director of the Wisconsin Marine Historical Society since 1982.  The Collection contains over 12,000 files for Great Lakes vessels as well as numerous early sources for marine history.
 
 
Christina Zahn
 
Currently the President of the Southeast Wisconsin Chapter of AHSGR (American Historical Society of Germans from Russia) as well as a national board member, Huguenots (I'm a descendant of one of the New Paltz patentees) and a volunteer at the Family History Center. 
 
 
Mary Patricia Voell
 
A Personal Historian, Voell is owner of Legacies, LLC | Personal, Family & Organizational Historians whose sole mission is to help others capture and preserve their stories . Since 2001, “before it’s too late” became her mantra and inheritance creating imaginative vehicles of storytelling as an author, teacher, speaker, and theatrical producer.
